The Edgecore CSR440 is an open disaggregated cell site gateway platform that provides a variety of interfaces, including 1/10/25 Gbps, 50/100 Gbps, and 100/400 Gbps. It utilizes powerful Qumran family merchant silicon and an Intel Xeon x86 processor with hyper-threading technology to deliver optimized performance for service provider access and aggregation networks. The CSR440 is designed to withstand extreme temperatures, capable of operating within a range from -40˚C to 65˚C. It features redundant, hot-swappable power modules and 5+1 high-efficiency modular fans, ensuring high availability and easy maintenance for mission-critical applications. This makes the hardware an ideal choice for current LTE and emerging 5G mobile xhaul network solutions.
Pre-installed with the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE), the CSR440 offers flexibility and freedom of choice for integrating the preferred Network Operating System (NOS) with user applications. The platform includes twenty-four 25G SFP28 ports, two 100G QSFP28 ports, and two 400G QSFP-DD fixed ports. It supports IEEE1588v2 and SyncE functions in hardware, as well as Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) IEEE 802.1CM in hardware. Rack-mountable in standard 19″ racks, the CSR440 has all ports and PSUs located at the front, with fan modules at the rear. It includes hot-swappable, load-sharing, redundant AC/48VDC PSUs and 5+1 redundant fan modules. Management options are provided via Ethernet and console RJ-45 ports, along with a USB storage port. The hardware switch is pre-loaded with ONIE for seamless integration and is compatible with Open Network Linux (ONL).
